Brian Bobo is now in his 9th season as high school and middle school Head Coach at Georgetown Day School. He has been coaching in the Washington Metropolitan area for 14 years, previously serving as an assistant coach at Flint Hill School in Vienna, Virginia. Coach Bobo began his high school playing career at DeMatha High School, before transferring to St. Albans School in Washington D.C. He was a member of the 1993 St. Albans Basketball team, which went undefeated in conference play and repeated as I.A.C Champions, while finishing the season ranked #2 in the Washington Post Top 25 at (24-2). Coach Bobo was recognized as one of the Top 5 Defenders in the D.C Metropolitan Area. He played at Catholic University, before deciding to continue a family legacy of coaching.
Coach Bobo has organized camps, clinics, and personal training events for the last 12 years both locally and abroad in Italy, Puerto Rico, and Senegal. In 2008, he worked alongside former NBA star Sam Perkins and Special Olympics Senegal. Coach Bobo worked in conjunction with the SEEDS Academy, and Nike at the SEEDS Academy Hoop Forum, Nike Elite Skills Camp, and Coaches Clinic in Senegal, Africa. In the last two seasons, Coach Bobo has led his AAU Basketball team, currently PTS Pistons (formerly DC Heat), to a National Championship Game ('08), as well as a 5th place finish in the summer of 2009.  Most recently, Coach Bobo and the PTS Pistons partnered with a local children's charity, Capitol Education Support (CES), to give back to our community and reinforce the importance of volunteering. Capitol Educational Support (CES) works in collaboration with community-based organizations and provides a broad range of education and behavioral specialists to improve the lives of children coming from extremely difficult backgrounds. This past Christmas Eve, the Coach Bobo and the PTS Pistons team organized a youth basketball clinic Christmas gift give-away in an inner-city recreation center in DC for approximately 50 CES youth between the ages of 4 and 12. Some of coach’s former athletes (both men and women) have been fortunate to play at McDaniel College, Bard College, UNC-Charlotte, Syracuse, James Madison, Virginia, Illinois, Dickinson, Haverford, New Hampshire, Pittsburgh, and Yale University.
